Worldtable: AI RPG Builder
Build a world. Pull up a chair.
Worldtable is an AI game master for fantasy worlds. Type what your hero does and the world writes back. It plays every innkeeper, rival and villain, while the game itself keeps the map, the fights, the dice, the money and what every person remembers about you. Play one of our worlds, build your own, and bring your friends.
Press "Run game", then "Play now". It opens worldtable.gg in a new tab and runs in any browser, phones included. Every account starts with 50 free credits, and one credit is one turn.
Play in your own words
- No menus of moves. Write what you do, however you'd say it. The story reads like a book: one column of prose, each person's lines under their name.
- Real dice, rolled by the game. When something is uncertain, the storyteller picks the check and the game rolls it, and you watch the dice land. A world can run on one of six rule systems: Classic d20, Forged in the Dark, Moves (PbtA style), Investigative d100, Grim d100, or Duality with Hope and Fear dice.
- A first scene written for you. Read where you'll start before you step in, and roll another if it isn't right.
- A story of your own. Your backstory becomes a question with a real answer, decided before you start. Clues wait in real places, and a rival works against you on their own schedule. Ignore it and the world lets it go.
- People with their own lives. Everyone wants something, mostly not from you. They remember what you did, and you can read the file they keep on you.
- Table talk. Step out of the story and ask the GM why something happened, get a mistake fixed, or change where the story is going. Free, and only you see it.
Fights on a battle map
- Every fight plays out on a battle map. Enemies show their next blow before it lands, so you can dodge, block or get out of the way.
- The storyteller narrates and never decides the damage. The game does that, by the same rules every time.
Bring your friends
- Parties of up to four (the world's builder can allow six). Travel on one clock, fight in shared rounds on one map, and split the spoils.
- Dungeon delves. Quick dungeon runs with friends: pick a dungeon, send an invite link, and play. Guests need no account, and the host covers their turns.
- Each of you plays your own character. The storyteller never speaks or acts for anyone else's.
A world you can walk across
- A real map. Coasts, rivers, roads and towns, and a journey takes the days it should. The storyteller can only send you to places that are really there.
- Dungeons decided before you arrive. Every room, door, key and secret is fixed and kept by the game. The fog lifts as you walk, and nobody can talk a locked door open.
- Towns built by the people who live there. Each town map follows the world map, in one of eleven building styles, with smithies, shrines, docks and keeps to find.
- Realms. Lands apart, reached only through gates: a demon court in a molten sea, frost isles in a sea of stars.
Ready-made worlds, open to everyone
- Kryvan March: monster hunting and folk horror
- Kelister: soulslike dark fantasy, where the sun is going out
- Telora: fae courts that cannot lie, and romance if you want it
- Treva: pirates racing for a dead king's treasure
- Hildyard: a guild boomtown on the lip of a bottomless dungeon
- Tokura: demon hunting from Japanese folklore
- Frohland: cozy fantasy, fifty years after the hero won
- Yavaria: LitRPG, where the System is real
And worlds made by other players, on the same shelf.
Or build your own in the World Studio
- Draw the land in sea, land, hills and mountains, or pick a shape. The generator raises the terrain, runs the rivers, lays the roads and founds the towns.
- Write its peoples, magic, cast and lore. Or answer six questions and get a whole world drafted in a minute or two, then edit it line by line.
- Rules in plain words that the game enforces, not the AI: whether heroes die for good, the most dangerous thing the world may bring, whether players can fight each other, and more. Or pick a full rule system with dice.
- Hob, the Studio's assistant, does the chores: writes lore, adds people, renames places and puts landmarks on the map. Just ask.
- Design dungeons and realms, ask your world questions before players do, and check it for contradictions.
- Keep it private with an invite link, or open it to everyone.
What it costs
- 50 free credits for every account. One credit is one turn, in any world.
- Packs: 200 credits for $5, 450 for $10, 1,000 for $20. Bought credits never expire.
- Adventurer: 650 credits a month for $12. Cancel any time.
- Each player pays for their own turns, so a popular world never drains its builder. Failed turns are refunded.
- Bring your own AI and nobody spends credits: OpenRouter or any OpenAI-compatible provider, including a model running on your own machine. In a private world, your own Claude Code or Codex can be the storyteller.
- No streaks, no countdowns, no loot boxes.

Huge update since last post here!
We're now Worldtable!
Please take a look at our latest development log, try the game out, and let us know if you have any feedback!
This is unlike any AI RPG slop you may have already tried. The developer done an amazing job building a framework of coding, database work and systems overlay that serves to funnel and direct AI usage that creates a believable system and world. It harnesses AI and uses it as an engine behind the scenes instead of trying to make it do the heavy lifting.
The end result is a world building tool that allows you to create virtually whatever world you want your players to live/play in. I have yet to even scratch the surface of the possibilities. As a player, the world feels alive, fun and reacts to your actions.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
thank you so much! your feedback means a lot! its a lot of fun to work on and I'm glad someone enjoys it as much as I do!
